Stock tickers follow their local naming conventions. Thus Microsoft USA has the ticker MSFT, while Microsoft Stuttgart has the ticker MSF.

As per Bloomberg’s codification, tickers generally have a market prefix. For instance Apple can be APPL:US for the American ticker, but will be APC:GR for Germany’s Xetra Stars. Please refer to exchanges codes below.

InfoTrie’s company classification mirrors GIC’s one. Alternatively Bloomberg’s classification is available. You can refer to Appendix 3.5. for full details

All FinSentS sentiment datasets are identified by an unique internal identifier per main type of data (company, forex, commodity or topic).

For instance Apple will be c_5379. The full list of companies (over 40,000, both listed and unlisted) can be queried by API.

Commodities are identified by a unique identifier and a name (e.g. gold), a type (e.g. metal), a sub type (precious metal) and a classification (e.g. BBG). The BBG commodity classification is maintained in standard, but additional commodity types can be added at will. See below for more details:

List of currency pairs tracked

Topics are identified by a unique identifier and a name (e.g. Syrian Crisis), a type (e.g. politic), a sub type and a classification. They can be tracked for all countries or a specific one.

Financial topics can be added on demand. A specific list (user defined) can be defined. Alternatively new topics can be automatically discovered in the news by our algorithms. Please email contact@infotrie.com to know more. A sample list can be found below:
